Supposed to be off in Texas today running a cool trail race but family things kept me home. On the flip side it meant a much more relaxed few days with the kids. We spent four hours in the Layton wave pool last night.

Good V02 max workout today with 6X1miles and 8X100s for a little speedwork. I am continually amazed this year how far out if shape I have allowed myself to get.

Spent the afternoon at the high school open meet at Utah State hanging out with the Mantzes. Claire got fourth in the 1600 with a great start and Conner ran an awesome 1600 taking first. Wished I had had time to hang out through the rest of the day to watch. I had time to catch up with Corbin Tally and Bill Cobler. The Alta coach and his team were probably sleeping in, or spending the day reading weekend obituaries.

I had my guys take some time off after cross country and they aren't race-ready yet.

Too bad, we could have hung out and caught up on old times. BTW, I'm going to run the Moab Red Hot 50k on President's weekend. Already registered. Since I have waning interest in the road racing thing I'm going to go have some fun with this.
