First road race in a long time. Local fundraiser Mandi put on to raise funds for the orphanage they visit every year. Sore legs but good to be running fast for a change! I took a wrong turn right at the first running with the 5k runners when I should have turned for the 10k, but backtracked the course quick. Not used to being in the lead.

Hiked the 4 mile trail to the Wind Caves with Walter and Mandi's kids afterwards.

Didn't you run a half marathon two weeks ago on the roads? :-)

Yeah, I meant some short racing. Something that you have to push it hard on. 5k, 10k kind of thing. That's what I need some more of!

Or you could just run 5/10Ks at slower paces than half marathons - that's what I do :-)

I know, I swear one time I'm going to start a 5k 30 minutes early and time it to run by the start line of a 5k right when it starts.

Shouldn't it be the "Race Against Haiti Abuse 10k"? Who's for abuse?

Congrats on the win!

Maybe it's the race for those who suffer abuse. Race For Abuse. Everyone ran the 5k though so there was only about 15 people on the 10k. One of them had a stroller. I like those odds.
