You need to stop being so wimpy and start running in some of Chicago's more homicidal neighborhoods. Great way to get in a good fartlek.

This city is pretty cool, but it scares me. I have been board paddling on Montrose Beach but last week a guy got shot just 100 yards from me. Last night there was a shooting as I was driving to the airport. The animosity towards you as a runner in some neighborhoods is staggering. I pay attention to everything.
