I have raised two running children, one competitive and one not.

I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work towards a faster marathon by Spring 2012.

Get my 5K down to 21:30.

Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon.

Train for biathlon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Joining Forrest Gump

I'm a 52 year old mom of two ex homeschooled teenagers. They both think I'm nuts.

4am is too early!  Cold at the track, just 37 degrees when I got there.  I warmed up fast, though, with lots more drills, and a bit of running with strides.

Yoga class was next, with just enough time to drink my protein shake and change clothes.

I am loving this cold clear weather, although a bit of precip would be good so we could have some snow on our mountain.  Watched the Warren Miller ski film the other night, and it got me all excited to ski!

I can't speak for April, but maybe she's OMG-ing your 4:00 AM start! Early. I used to go to the Warren Miller shows every year and just get all crazy excited for the ski season. Good memories!

4 am and you have so many activities!

What kind of protein shake do you drink?

Well, one of my activities today was a nap before dinner. Just got up. I use REcoverite powder mixed with water for some carbs and protein.
