AM: Feeling burnt out from the work push that started on Friday. Commute run in early for a 6am experiment.

Mi 2.5 Avg. 8:38 HR 152

PM: Enough is enough, put back on my clothes late afternoon and headed out the door. Ran up Dry creek for the first time in months. Took the trail all the way to City Creek and then back on 11th. It was a deserved and relaxing run. Shame about the air quality today. At least I was looking down on it. Really gave the impression of the "shoreline" that the smog, oops it is Utah so we have to say it the nice way, "inversion" looked like the water it was so thick... That being said it was still a great run. Then back to work.

AM: The good and the bad thing about writing is it can take place anywhere. The last two days in lab were fraught with interruptions so I worked from home last night and this morning. It is nice to role out of bed and just start. So by the time Sandra got back from dropping the girls off at school I already had a good 3 hr of work done. So we decided to go for a rare run together. We did the Suicide Loop. The air looked much clearer and the temperature was nice. Two daytime runs in a row nice to see the sun. However, back to the writing. I wish I could write even half as well as I can run, but I am SO SLOW when it comes to putting "pen to paper" so to speak.

Avg. 9:00 HR 131

PM: ? only if I get the paper out... NOPE, worked until 11pm. At least I got a nice morning run in...

AM: Sorry to those who want to hear about running. I feel like I am a broken record writing about how much I work. It is really a crunch time for me, probably for the next few months. The good news is I'm still getting in some good mileage and the runs sure help to maintain that balance I so diligently try and stick to. Today I had to be in at 6 am so up early and direct commute run. Paper out today or not I am going to go for an evening run...

Mi 2.5 Avg.  9:05 HR 143

PM: Well I got the second run in. Cut it a little shorter but still something. Did the SugarHouse loop from home.

Mi 4.5 Avg. 7:53 HR 143 (funny about the HR)

Got a little sleep and out for a run before yet another day in front of the computer. Progress is being made but never as quickly as I would like. I pushed this run a little.

Big run with a big group on the JRP. It was a lot of fun and great to see so many talented runners. Even if I ended up getting dropped it was still fun to hang on as long as I could. Most in the group continued on for more mileage but I had to get back to a busy family day.
