AM: Sorry to those who want to hear about running. I feel like I am a broken record writing about how much I work. It is really a crunch time for me, probably for the next few months. The good news is I'm still getting in some good mileage and the runs sure help to maintain that balance I so diligently try and stick to. Today I had to be in at 6 am so up early and direct commute run. Paper out today or not I am going to go for an evening run...

I enjoy your blog and think it's awesome that you run to work. If I had a shower at my office I would do the same. I consider running to be my form of therapy and a great way to take a mental break from work and other priorities. Good luck with your paper! We will have to run soon, I'd like to race a half with you this upcoming year.

Thanks for the support guys. I guess it is no surprise that I would work hard at work if I work hard while running. In many ways science is like marathon training. Lots of hours, days, weeks, months, for small gains, and few and far between finish lines. But I enjoy both so I'll keep at it.
