Not sure if I'll run a little on the treadmill or not. Knee still acting up from yesterday. I really thought all the time off, the stretching, and the NSAIDs had done the trick.

Spent the morning with the family putting up Christmas lights. Now in work trying to get my grant outlined and a manuscript abstract done by Monday...

Ended up on the treadmill for two miles and then a good stretch. Tomorrow off and then seen what happens next week...

Geez. It's just not right. I am sorry about the bum knee. Have you had it properly diagnosed and treatment prescribed? I have forgotten. It seems it should get better with enough rest or surgery--dreaded but sometimes needed for knees--might be in order?

Michelle, Not sure what to do. I've seen an orthotic specialist, two PTs and two orthopedic surgeons. I've also spoken with two other MDs about it. Nothing they can pinpoint. However, I haven't had an MRI yet. It is more of an annoyance than crippling pain and that is actually the problem. I ended up doing a little on the treadmill tonight anyway. I'm going to give it a full three weeks with the NSAIDs and then seek a more comprehensive diagnostic...

Sounds like a high degree of diligence to me. Hopefully it will resolve or get a successful diagnosis soon. I'll put you in my prayers.

Thanks for the comment Adam, I'm really bummed to see you struggle so much with this. I hope you can get past this soon before spring season starts. Miss running with you so get better soon.

Steve, Though the struggles of life are horrible to deal with I think that Nietzsche had it right "Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker" or "What does not destroy me, makes me stronger." Though I think Aerosmith said it in a way that reflects my take on running and other hardships and good things life throws my way, "Life's a journey not a destination".
