Ran on Jordan River Parkway. We did an out and back run. The heat really got to many of us. Including me, even though I thought I hydrated pretty well. It may have been that we usually have more shade in the Gully or Cottonwood Complex and it's cooler at Alta.

Other than being H2O deficient it was a hard run in the head. Especially when Kramer and Jake pass you both ways. During my run I didn't know everyone else was strugging until I got back to the car and I saw Davis specifically and others. After practice we went to a local Mcdonalds and drank a ton of water. A ton of it!

Overall it was a rough day. Days like these make you appreciate that it gets cooler throughout the Cross season. #dehydrated #rainydaysandmondays

It was definitely harder than usual today for everyone. The JRP is hot, and that headwind on the way back was draining. The pace I was running felt like it required a lot more effort than it usually does.

But, like you said, days like this build the foundation where you can really TAKE ADVANTAGE of those nice, cool fall days.

Do you know your time for the 9.9 miles?

We will have a fun, easy practice tomorrow.
