AM - From bad to worse today. The knee was killing me today the entire run so I turned around after three miles and headed back. The pain was the worst it has ever been. The only way I can describe it is that it felt like someone was poking me in the knee with a knife every stride. The only other time I have been in this much pain while running was when I had a really bad stress fracture in college. So right now things are not looking good running wise. I may be reduced to cross training for awhile.

Looking back at my blogs I initially hurt my knee on November 15th. So it has been almost 11 weeks that I have had this problem. It is time to get it fixed and stop playing around.

Yikes! Get well and take it easy until you can get a handle on this.

Take it easy Ted and don't do another thing until you get it diagnosed!!!

Hard as it is for me to even write these words: I would stop running altogether. Better to take time off now and get it healed so you can have a full healthy season. Have you had it diagnosed?

Ted, let me know what you find out on your hip issues. I've still been having problems. I went to a chiropractor twice and I've had one massage, I'll probably have another one before to long.

I hate being injured, especially when I really have a desire to be out there running more miles.

To stop running is a very tough decision to make, but a smart one. Through cross training you will maintain fitness and still feel a sense of accomplishment when finishing a good workout of another kind.

Time to rest the knee. Hope the MRI comes back with better news. I am sorry to hear the this injury is lingering for so long. Get yourself well!

Best of luck. I'm sorry that you have to be going through this. I really wish you the best, fastest recovery possible. Take the time now though to get it completely cleared up...
