Personal: I was a single mom. Two times over. We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions. Then, I met a man I didn't deserve. And he loves me so much. And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now. But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway. This is my failure blog now. Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded. Favorite Blogs: |

| | I have realized that a long run is not happening this week, since snopocalypse 2 is supposed to move in tomorrow, so I doubt there is school for a few days. It is just not worth it to do it on the home mill, so I guess I will just be that much more rested for the Ardomre half in a week. On to today. Me and Vanessa went to the East Y, I am low on laundry and had to wear some old short. mistake. I rolled them 3 times but they still kept threatening to fall off, so there was a lot of self-conscious, uncomfortable hitching. Ran easy but the last mile up 2% at 6:40 pace, which didn't feel particularly comfortable. My conclusion: The last 4 uphill miles at Ardmore will stink no matter what, so I might as well be downright suicidal in the beginning downhill miles and bank as much time as possible. I would not recommend this approach for a full marathon, but for a half, might as well. |
