Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

Nothing.  Laid on the couch after cleaning house at 9:30.  woke up startled at 1:45.  Had to go pick the kids up from school.  No time to run.  I should be able to squeeze one in tomorrow.  I have resigned myself to 5 days a week.  I have fought for 6 but right now with my schedule, packing and preparing to move, and worsening sleep deprivation, it's not happening.  I quit getting up the extra hour early to run between night shifts--it gave me 4 hours of sleep instead of 5, and I was falling asleep at the wheel bringing the kids to school.  So, sleep has won.  I believe towards the end of February after the dust has settled after moving my schedule will loosen up and I will be able to resume normal training.  Until then, I will run when I can and try to stay in basic shape.  I'm on the fence about a spring marathon--will wait and see.  All racing plans are on hold for now.  No worries, I have not given up.  I still plan to kick some tail in a fall marathon.  This will pass.
