Nothing. Laid on the couch after cleaning house at 9:30. woke up startled at 1:45. Had to go pick the kids up from school. No time to run. I should be able to squeeze one in tomorrow. I have resigned myself to 5 days a week. I have fought for 6 but right now with my schedule, packing and preparing to move, and worsening sleep deprivation, it's not happening. I quit getting up the extra hour early to run between night shifts--it gave me 4 hours of sleep instead of 5, and I was falling asleep at the wheel bringing the kids to school. So, sleep has won. I believe towards the end of February after the dust has settled after moving my schedule will loosen up and I will be able to resume normal training. Until then, I will run when I can and try to stay in basic shape. I'm on the fence about a spring marathon--will wait and see. All racing plans are on hold for now. No worries, I have not given up. I still plan to kick some tail in a fall marathon. This will pass. |
