Short-Term Running Goals: Run enough to hold off the middle-age spread
Long-Term Running Goals:
Sub 3 hour marathon--SOMEDAY! Done!
New long term goal: ....run enough to feel kinda like I did when I was fit
Personal: I was a single mom. Two times over. We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions. Then, I met a man I didn't deserve. And he loves me so much. And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now. But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway. This is my failure blog now. Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded. Favorite Blogs: |

| | 8:12 AP. I strapped on my broken Garmin with rubber bands because I was compelled to know what might be going on. ran 10 easy then 2 at tempo 6:43, 6:43. Well, there are signs of life in my legs, I didn't even know if I could crank anything under 7 minutes so I guess I'm happy with this little foolish temperature test. |

| | Wanted to go long today since my next opportunity due to childcare issues is Monday, but I got off work emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted and tried a treadmill hill workout instead. Had to tone it down I was such a mess. some runs suck. 1 mile warm up, 1mile up, 1 down, half mile flat, .5 up, .5 flat, .5 up, .5 flat, .25 up, .5 flat, .25 up, .25 flat, 1 mile down, .5 flat, .5 down, 1 flat. let's just say rolling hills. yuck. should've just ran easy because I could not hang on the ups or downs today. |

| | Y. 7 on the mill, 3 on the indoor track. Tomorrow's 18 in 80 degrees should be a blast. |

| | Just in case I thought I might be getting back into shape, I had this nasty little 18 mile reality check to erase any such thoughts. I ran slow, I got hot, and instead of a tempo the last 4 I squeaked out a few 7:20s then death-marched the last two miles. |

| | 6:53 AP. Didn't see that coming. After being up all night with sick kiddo and laying around most of the day, I finally washed all the pukey laundry, mopped up the barf, swept up albuterol and atrovent breathing treatment bullets, and made it to the dreadmill at the Y. .5 warmup 8:34 pace, and then, surprise, my legs were a go. 2 miles up 4% 7:30 pace, then just let em turn fast for the next 5.5 down -2% 6:40, 6:35, 6:31, 6:27, 6:22, 6:18. getting very close now to my St. George hill workouts of old. Maybe I am getting back into shape. a little. maybe. |
