Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

Houston.  Got up and visited the Y.  As the only person present under the age of 60, I put on a spectacular sweaty show.  65 minutes on the bike, keeping my heart rate right at 160, then 30 minutes on the elliptical, averaging closer to 170.  Mom thinks my ankle is broken.  I don't.  Will find out Tuesday.

misery loves company....my ankle and heel are killing me!! It all started up again just after my vacation right after Painter's Half. The plantar fascitis/heel fracture/tarsal tunnel syndrome/I dont' know. Man it hurts. The pain is the same place it was before the steroid shot but it has crept in to the middle of my heel and my ankle bone. FREAK!!! It hurts to walk on it. Some runs it goes away after two miles but only if I am running slow. But shows up again if I am running long too. I could hardly stand to walk on it at work today. I am so masochistic running on it. Most people would have stopped weeks ago. I don't want expensive xrays/bone scans. Basically I am babbling on and feel your pain!! I hope it is not broken!!! Trails are easy to twist hard on.

Yep, sounds like you are pumping out some frustrations for sure. Hope it is nothing broken. All that cross training you did when you had that stress fracture probably helped you get that sub-3, so keep it up and hopefully you'll be out on the roads again next week.
