New long term goal: ....run enough to feel kinda like I did when I was fit
Personal: I was a single mom. Two times over. We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions. Then, I met a man I didn't deserve. And he loves me so much. And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now. But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway. This is my failure blog now. Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded. Favorite Blogs: |

| | Home treddy squeeze between shifts. Tried to do a little speedwork. 20 minute warm up, 5 x 60 seconds on/60 off 6:00 pace, 5 minute jog, 5 x 45 seconds on/75 seconds off 5:27 pace, 5 minute jog, 7 minutes 6:27 pace. was supposed to be 10 but felt pukey. cooled down to 8 miles. I wonder about my home treadmill calibration. All paces feel significantly harder than they do on the treadmills at the Y. 5:27 pace is risking my life on that belt.

| | Easy 3am circles around post 6, followed by an hour of emscrossfit(slow night at work). We reached a whole new level today with pushing our cars back and forth across the parking lot. Hard work!! Should get another run in this afternoon. Afternoon--9 more ez in the sun, in 55 degrees, in a tank top, by Nessa's school. Glorious ! I made an appearance in the March issye of Ultrarunning magazine with an article about me at Heartland. I told my daughter I was famous and she was thrilled. ;) |

| | Called in sick to work tonight but I'm not sick. Nessa is at her usual place spending the night while I work. I'm not at work though. This is the only way for me to have a break. Free time. So I deceived everybody and now I'm holed up in a restaurant in a back booth by myself. Let's call it a mental health day. I might even go to an adult movie. I might not. Today I ran on my home treddy out of view and spent some time grieving. It's a long story but in the end I still just cannot move past a few things. I've tried, prayed, ran, drank, smoked, screamed, cried, wrote, played, devoured books and journals, talked to friends, begged for mercy from any higher being, taken anti-depressants, gone to church. It always circles back. I'm staring into the abyss again. I am grateful for my little blonde angel or I would have given up long ago. She is the reason I get out of bed every day and choose to live the best I can. |

| | Absurd amounts of circles around post 6 at 3am. Work slowed way down at midnight, and we managed to hoist a few out of the grave, so a good night. |
