No more messing around.  Time to get serious about this running thing again.  Running at the same comfortable pace everyday has kept me in shape but my legs have become stale and need a little shake up.  Started with 2 easy miles to warm up.  I actually felt really good when I started.  Ran up to the new trail in West Bountiful to do some mile repeats.  Plan was for 3 X 1 mile at 5K pace (6:00/mile) with 1/2 mile recovery in between.  I felt great during the run and was able to hit my target pace (5:58, 5:58, 6:03).  A little slow on the last one because I started to lose focus but I wasn't overly fatigued.  I was surprised that these didn't feel more difficult.  Cooled down with 2 more easy miles.

Happy Birthday Ashton.  My little boy turned 13 today.  Man do I feel old.

Awesome job. Way to go out and test yourself. Great job on the splits. Look at you go.

Mixing it up will be just what the Dr. ordered.
