Started out a little early so I could get the extra miles in this morning and walked out the door to an amazing sunrise.  What a great way to start the day.  I'm finally getting back to the point where I can turn on the auto pilot and get through these longer runs without too much trouble.  Started out at 8:00/mile pace and gradually moved to 7:30/mile.  I didn't eat enough yesterday so running by Dick's bakery was sheer torture.  With 1/4 mile to go, my lap pace was 7:18 and I wanted to see if I could get it down to 7:05 so I started to push it a little.  Finished it in 7:05:82.

I saw that sunrise, it was spectacular :) It must have inspired your quick paces!

Those miles are starting to rack up pretty quickly and are staring to get faster. Nice run Andy.

Rhett - It's amazing how the nice weather can affect the desire to get out and run.

Great job Andy. I find when I run by the bakery I get sick it just smells like grease to me...oh but I can eat the doughnuts after the run for sure!

NICE mileage and pace. It's wonderful to see you enjoying your run and training for something again. Yes, that sunrise was gorgeous!!!

Did you go back and pick something up from the bakery???

Wow ... 14 miles on a Tuesday!!! Very impressive especially at that pace.

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Sounds like a great run. What's your fast / slow mile cutoff? 7:05 seems like it would be in the FAST category!

From Andy on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 08:24:36 from 207.155.176.10

Marc - I put everything in the slow category unless it is a specific speed workout (LT or VO2).
