Wow that was a tough course! I was definately hurting. I don't know if I would've run as fast if I didn't have Dave and Jason running with me as part of their easy run for the week. Thanks Dave and Jason for getting me through that! I was not good company in that race with my labored breathing but they were patient and helpful. Riley is still taking time off so he took some pictures which I'll post. I started out well and my first really big up hill on 36th street ended up being decent effort. But the next hills up 4600, and past Beus trailhead I fell off my pace and that hurt me with my overall place finish. I passed the third place girl after that then Jasmine passed me shortly after that and I couldn't catch her. I'm really happy with my overall time I was hoping for 1:07 and was well under that. Here's my splits: 6:18, 5:53, 6:19, 6:22, 7:18, 7:25, (these were the first steep miles), 8:10 (Yikes! not a good uphill mile for me.) 5:47 (downhill) 6:17, 6:39 (not a great finish I couldn't get up that last hill.) But overall happy with the effort and time. I ran this course 3 years ago and ran 1:17 so I'm definately a lot faster now then I was then. Jason and Dave running with me a week after their marathons.
