Race: Spectrum 10k (6.2 Miles) 01:07:55
Total Distance
6.20

I had a fun time running this race. I decided I like 10k's better than 5k's. My splits were 1, 10:00/2, 11:15/3,10:46/4,11:08/5,11:44/6,10:55.  I got under the time that I wanted, so that was good. Dave came back and ran with me from about 4.5 to the finish. That helped alot (mostly because I couldn't walk as much as I wanted to!) I felt really good, and the new songs I added to my ipod sure did help. I really liked the aid stations. The only way those could have been better is if they had a Diet Coke for me!

CONGRATULATIONS on a great race. I love the 10K distance too. The Spectrum race is beautiful, wish I had been there! Keep up the good work.

Hey Ally- Fun to see you today! CONGRATS on the 1st 10K- you are awesome!

Wait to go! What a great first 10k for you! It was good to see you at the start even though I didnt formerly introduce myself. Keep it up!

What about a diet cherry chocolate vanilla Dr.Pepper? I've never had one personally but it sure looks good on the commercials. Way to go on a solid PR (no less) running performance. Keep it up.

Good job! I am a big diet coke fan!

Yeah! We finished! You did really good! Better than you thought even. I'm glad you had fun. I totally like 10k's better than 5k's. I got a good laugh out of the aid station remark. Don't we deserve a night out at Samurai or something now?

I love any race more than a 5K! Great job today!

Good job on your race. Is that the shortest haircut Dave has had since you have been married?

From Jeff on Sat, Mar 15, 2008 at 20:38:06

Great job getting under your goal time!

From Mike Warren on Sat, Mar 15, 2008 at 20:52:13

Nice job on the PR! Did you add any of Daves singing on your ipod? That would make you want to finish fast!

From Jody on Sat, Mar 15, 2008 at 20:55:33

Great Job!! You did a great job and finished under your goal!!

From Lybi on Sat, Mar 15, 2008 at 20:58:21

Great job, Ally! I've never had the guts to run a 10K yet, because it just sounds so painful to me to run 2 5Ks back to back. But you are inspiring me! Music is really important to me when I race, too.

Great job on the run. "Cherry Pie"
