Anaerobic threshold today.  Ran during seventh period by myself so I could come home and hang out with my Australian family.  I ran a 2 lap warm-up and then headed out to dogpound (4mi).  The three middle miles were the threshold miles.  Running it by myself was different because I had no one to keep my sights on.  It was pretty windy today, I generally love running in the wind because I don't focus as much on myself and I feel a bit more free.  The wind didn't bother me until I turned right at the dogpound, then it got a little hard to run against.  Mid-way up the first hill there was a massive onslaught of wind and I felt like I was inching my way slowly up the hill.  It eased up a little on the second hill but it was still pretty windy.  My time was 18:19, 4 seconds slower than the first time I ran this.  I jogged back up to school and went on a cool down, 2 miles on middle school run.  Overall I felt pretty good today except for leg soreness.

Good work Ally. It seems that you are a little down, thinking your times (races) should be faster. Don't worry, it will come. As a matter of fact it already is. Under 13 is a big deal. Now just keep focusing on good workouts and mileage and keep pushing in the races.
