I've recently gotten married. It's one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Since then I've slacked off on my running, hopefully this running blog will help encourage me to keep pushing.

First of all i would like to apologize for not keeping my blog up to date. I have been doing alot of light jogging but I've been a little lazy when it comes to posting my workouts.

For the past month i haven't really trained for this race. Ive been doing easy 3 and 4 mile jogs about 4 days a week.

The first 6 miles of the race I was doing great, but shortly after fatigue started to set in. Then the sun came out from behind the clouds and it was harsh. Luckily it wasn't out for too long, but I did notice that I had sun burn once I got home. I snagged a power gel at the 9 mile marker, but I couldn't wash that nasty taste out of my mouth. My motivation was gone by the time I got to the 10 mile mark, so I walked at the water table to enjoy a cool drink, I did the same for the 11th and 12th mile water tables. Obviously this is because i haven't trained myself for the distance properly. All in all i had a great time, and i am looking forward to getting back into racing again.
