I've recently gotten married. It's one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Since then I've slacked off on my running, hopefully this running blog will help encourage me to keep pushing.

Its obvious to see I’ve hit my mid week lazy streak… This morning I over slept by an hour and a half. So I didn’t get to run before work. I was planning on doing a long run tonight but my wife and I started making early dinner plans. Of course anything with food is the highlight of my day, I just couldn’t wait for it. I did go by the Y, but all the treadmills were taken. So I went outside and ran the 5k course they have for the tri-sprints. It was a little chilly but I enjoyed it. I didn’t time push my self or check the time. I just ran at the feel good speed. I ran up on a pole cat, luckily he didn’t spray me. It was good run, im glad the daylight is getting longer now. I miss running outside.

Pole cat?

I'm glad it's staying light later, too. Very nice.

Some nice, cool days of outside running (and race training) will give you the spark you need. Keep it up, man.

A pole cat is basically a skunk that doesn’t have a white strip from head to tail. They are all black with a white spot on them. Im not sure if “pole cat” is the proper name for them but that’s what all the hillbillys call them.
