Boot Camp at Sugarhouse Park! I have been looking forward to this workout eversince it was mentioned along our summer agenda. It was hard, I wanted to have a lame excuse to quit, but I ignored my mental pain and made it through the whole workout. We started with a 4 mile warm up, 2 big laps around the park. I ran with Suzette during that. When we got back to the beginning, we all had to run the circuits. Popcorns, stride, jumping jacks, stride, squats, stride, mountain climbers, strides. After one set, we jogged over to one of the pavillions and did step ups on the park tables, 3 sets of 1 minute. After those, we jogged over to a shady spot in the grass for crunches and push ups. 3 sets of 15 push ups and 20 crunches. On the third set of push ups, we had to do this funky thing with our arms, I can't really describe it? Oh well. After that part, we ran around the pond to one of our favorite hills. 2 weeks ago, that hill was very hard. After last weeks hill week, (mainly jcc) this hill is really nothing. After 10 little loops up the hill around the tree and down, we jogged to the drinking fountain. Then we did 3 sets of leg lifts for 30 seconds. At this point I was starting to sing out of insanity. Patrick said he really wished he could punch me. After the leg lifts, we jogged over to where we had ran circuits first, and did another set. After this set, we jogged over to the highland track and found a wall to do wall sits, 15 seconds. After 3 sets of those, we took a short drink break and jogged to the highland bleachers. I think it's called something ladder? I don't know. We would run up one set of small stairs (no skipping stairs) jog to the next set of stairs, run down, jog over, run up, jog over, run down, and sprint back to the first set of stairs. We did this 5 times. After that, we did this wierd thing on the wall, I don't know what it's called. We did 3 sets of 15 though, and on the 15th one of the third set, we wanted to see who could hold it the longest. I almost made it, but my legs were starting to hurt, and my hands too. After that, we went onto the highland track. It is so slippery, I hate it! We did our lunges, and all sorts of our things. We started to sing again, I'll Make a Man out of You. We also did our sound effects for the core stuff we were doing, Emily thought it was obnoxious. But Taylor and Scott made it up, so of course it's obnoxious...:) After that, we ran a 2 mile cool down, one big lap around the park backwards. It was a hard workout, but I'm glad we survived. Good job today, everybody!

You did great today. And you guys are obnoxious in a cute way! It doesn't really bother me!
