Arrived in Thailand in late January, woefully out of shape. My jean size was a tight 32. I rented an apartment in Chiang Mai for 3 months, and decided to start running and exercising at the fitness park and Municipal Stadium. Yesterday I got into my jeans for the flight to Bali and the pants were falling down, barely staying on my hips. When I had to remove my belt at the airport security check point I had to hold my pants up with hand  - haha - success!

I feel amazing now, fit, the fat melting off my gut. I usually run for 45 minutes to an hour, and do 2 hours of strength exercises. As I walked back to the hotel this morning a man on a scooter said hello as I passed and made a motion with his arms, asking if I had been running - I must have looked sweaty and gross, or had that running glow going. I nodded my head and said hello. I few minutes later down the road the same guy stops his scooter next to me and starts talking running - "you have no fat, I try to be that way". I had to laugh at that, he should have seen me 14 weeks ago.

Ok, this was just an update because Ben left a message recently. Ben, hope all is well!

I don't race anymore, but run all the time. No need to keep track of my mileage, so most likely I won't make many entries here.

Glad to hear the update, man. Been missing following you. I am trying to get in shape too. I reached a high point (or rather low point) weighing in at 241 pounds. I have since dropped 22 to 219, but still have a long way to go. Slow and steady. I am participating in a 120 day challenge to run at least 1 mile every day. Today was Day #53. Onwards and upwards! Keep in touch,

Benn
