Ran with Barry who is running tremendously well. I ran 13.13 miles at an overall

7:12 in 1:34:28. Temperature in the 20's. I was fresh after not running too much the las

few days. My foot is 100% as far as I can tell.

I watched Boise State win and that was exciting for their program.  Makes ISU football

team look bad.  Their is just not enough talent on the Bengals.

Temperature in the high 20s very nice conditions but a little slick in places.

I ran with Barry and I had to hurry home the last few miles to take my daughter

to school.  I was cutting it close but I made it.  The effort seems harder

than it should have for not running real fast.  We made it to her school right when the

bell rang.  Barry hung with me the last few miles and wasn't that far behind.

Did 10.13 at an overall 6:51 pace in 1:08 (something like that).

It was over 30 degrees today and tomorrow its suppose to be below zero.

I ran with Barry over Olympus rd. and down Hiline Rd. and down Alameda Rd.

Did one mile fast at 6:14. Did 12.04 at a 7:08 pace in 1:25:50.  Nothing real special

just a hilly route and tortured Barry.

-5 degrees and Barry and I still ventured outside today.  It wasn't bad or really

cold other than my hands, but thats always the case.  Barry and I ran 10 miles

together and I did an extra mile. 11.32 at an overall 7:06 pace in 1:20:24.  It's

suppose to be this cold tomorrow as well.  I really need to find a solution

for my hands.  I couldn't find my hand warmers that I bought, because they

seem to work when it's this cold.
Alright who's going to win tonight Texas or Alabama

(College National Championship for those who don't know and may not care)
.  Alabama has an awesome

defense and might have the advantage.  But I'm rooting for Texas which  I've always

liked.

Well it was sad to see the Texas quartback (McCoy) get knocked out on their first play.  Even though I thought Alabama would win, I don't think they would have if McCoy could have been in there.  Alabama didn't play as good as I thought they would.

Barry and I  ran outside today at -2 degrees with the wind blowing at 7mph so if you calculate that factor in it probably felt like -7 degrees.  Ran 11.31 at an overall 7:06 pace in 1:20:20.  Another special... we ran up towards the ISU Campus minidome and then down past Davis Track Field and then back on 1st street.   It's really not that cold to run in this weather if you dress correctly and take the seriousness of it.  I double check everything on my body before I walk out the door.  I put hand warmers in my mittens today and that really helped.

Has anyone ever tried the heated gloves?

It's been nice to sort of blog again.  I've been really busy and haven't had time.  Now back to a busy day at work.

Evening:

Did a couple 100m strides last night to loosen up the legs a bit and accelerate just a bit since it wasn't as cold.

It was 2 degrees according to my Wireless Weather Temperature unit when we started running.  I ran 10 miles with Barry out on Hiline Rd. and down Chubbuck Rd.  then turned onYellowstone and then turned on Hawethorne Rd..  I added 4 miles of my own.. I have fun running with Barry and we have great discussions on trying to not become addicted to running because it can destroy your life.  Also discussions on spiritually things as well.  God speaks to his people if their willing to listen.

Totals 14.12 miles at an overall 7:16 pace in  1:42.
