No running this morning or today. My wife's in Boise and I will not have a minute in the day to run. But that will give my knee a chance to heal. My problem is I would have run today if I didn't have a chance where I couldn't. I'm the type of person that will run or exercise even if I feel hurt, sick and that's not always smart. I've always believed that you have to do something everyday, but than there's a point where you can over-train and wear your body down. I've realized if I want to get the best performance out of Ogden, and using SLC marathon as a good tune-up, than I better make sure my body does get some rest time. I really don't feel like I just ran a marathon, even on Sunday my body felt good. I would like to walk away from a marathon feeling like I can't even walk that I gave everything I had.
I'll do my usual sit-ups and push-ups tonight so I'll do something. 7 hours of sleep this morning, but I stayed up till midnight looking at the Ogden course and figuring out what pace I need to run each mile. |
