I'm in Boise staying at the Oxford Suites for my daughter's soccer tournament so I had to decide where would  be a good location to run outside near the exit.  It was a cold morning with the wind  blowing but I  decided to run in shorts anyway being it was 37 degrees.

I ran on the Overland Rd 4.5 miles away from the hotel and then 4.8 miles back to the Hotel.  It really was cold with the wind  blowing.  I basically just when by feel, and not paying to much attention to my garmin.  I ran 9.3 miles at an overall 6:53 pace in 1:04.  My lowest split was (6:40) which I really wanted to take the run pretty easy.

My daughter lost their first soccer game 5 to 2 but she played hard and really hustled.  At 12 years old soccer starts to get aggressive, but she's very talented and running has helped her be that way.  We have another game at 1pm I'll keep my fingers crossed that they will win.

Looks like you are still on track for Ogden. I hope the rest of the tournament went well.

Adam RW - Well they lost their second game, and now we have one more tomorrow morning at 9:15 then will head home. They didn't make the playoffs.

Ogden will be interesting I don't really have an idea how things will go. But hopefully better than SLC Marathon.

Kory, have you tried stretching your IT muscle? I have found that when I feel my knee hurting that stretching my IT muscle helps.

So how did the shoe experiment go? No pain?

From Adam RW on Sun, May 11, 2008 at 21:23:58

Since SLC wasn't half bad if Ogden goes better you will be PRing like crazy!

Adam RW- Yes Ogden will be good if I can get some rest this week. I'm completely wiped out from the trip. After I go to Ogden I have to got back to Boise the following week for, 4 days. Then the week after that were going to go somewhere for our 14th Anniversary.

Michelle L - I didn't wear the Mizuno Precision shoes and my knee never hurt. Maybe their wore out after 300 miles. I did get some Asics DS Trainer's 13 today so I'll start wearing those. But will see tomorrow.
