Hope you get better. Why run so many miles if you are not training and you are injured?

Jeff - Addiction. That's I'll I can say. I've ran more miles this year than the last two years starting out. I'm over 1,100 miles. But I'm going to run the Law Day 10k here on the same day as Ogden I believe. Then I'm doing the Ragnar Relay with one of the corporate teams June 18-19 for fun.

I'm cutting back this next week to heal up.

Sorry about the groin pain. I had to deal with that a couple years ago. Self massage was the best, very easy to do using the heel of the opposite hand or foot. Hard to explain the technique though. Take it easy and run for the joy of it. The roads will always be waiting for your return.

Where did it hurt you? It seems it's almost the muscle above it or the lower abdominal area. It's been like this for almost two months and getting worse.

Yes, same deal for me but over time it also was inflamed throughout my entire inner thigh. It's a complex web of muscle throughout that area and the lower abs. At first I thought it was a hernia, but after some self examination and seeing a D.O. it was determined I didn't have the typical hernia. Anyway, I got rid of my groin pain by massage and stretching of the inner thigh (in that order). I still get some soreness in the lower ab and groin after a 20+ miler, but the pain is not as bad (only feel it after a cough). So it could be a sports hernia (found in soccer and football players), but not many docs know how to diagnose that problem or flat out don't think it exists. I really think my problem is related to my long heavily muscled legs that my lower abs have to bring forward. Just need to lose leg mass and do more lower ab work. At least I can run my daily miles without a big issue like before. I can deal with soreness after a long run. Sorry for blabbing.
