This morning the temperature was in the high 20's with now wind so it wasn't too bad but still chilly. I ran 9.40 miles at an overall 6:58 pace in 1:05. I did my standard Satterfield loop, running up the hill then running back to my house. I did two pickup miles on the downhill, but not really pushing too hard (5:42, 5:58) and a cool-down mile of 6:34. First time I've picked the pace up a bit since St. George. It felt good. Probably the only run for today. I don't want to start the high miles again probably for a couple weeks. I want to make sure the body is well rested something that I haven't done in the past. My presistent pushing myself to get right back in the groove after a marathon I don't think is a good approach. I want to get fresh and start with a new motivation for the Marahon in January or December who knows right now. But I know I want to do another one in the next few months.

300 sit-ups 100 push-ups Evening I ran 5.3 miles at an overall 7:03 pace in 37.22 at my daughter's soccer practice. Did the last 2 miles at a 6:50, 6:23. I've had an extreme headache all day, and the only thing that seems to help is running.
