Not as cold today it was 40 degrees which is about the right temperature to run a race... maybe a little warmer.  I only got 6 hours of sleep last night I was up late working and while I was waiting for things to finish from the work  I was blogging too.  I didn't sleep well last night, because of all the decisions rolling around my head about whether to go to SGM, Kids, and work related stuff.

Today I went up and down up and down the whole route.  Very good training run.  I ran 11.8 miles at an overall 6:59 pace in 1:22.  Did some faster miles at the end (6:25, 6:22, 6:16, 6:20, 6:35).

(Saucony Tangent #3   -  334 miles)

Evening

Ran 2.8 miles at a 7:40 pace at my daughter's soccer practice, then I watch her practice for 30 minuts.

(Mizuno Precision 8 -  602 miles)

Kory, I do not envy you with your tough decisions. When we were raising our children I wasn't into running so I didn't have these decisions. I was into working two jobs and doing church assignments (Scoutmaster, etc.). Good luck.

Paul - I'm really struggling on what to do. I know I have a good shot at a PR, but it's such along trip and that really makes it difficult.

I'm not sure what to do.

Kory, sorry you are struggling with the choice on SGM. Just know that either way you have had a great year of running and already achieved the PR at a win in you hometown marathon. Just pray about it and you will find the right answer.

I understand your dilemma as the TCM next week, which was the only planned trip a month ago, is now the 3rd trip in 2 weeks for me. That is taxing on me and the family.

Thanks Jeff for your advice and it's well taken and appreciated. Right now I'm struggling with what to do. I feel drained mentally from work, kids busy schedule.

I have to work this weekend and won't get much sleep because it's late at night. We have to shutdown about 50 system Saturday night at 10pm due to a power upgrade, then come back 3am or 5am Sunday morning (could be later in the morning) when the power upgrade is done and start the systems backup. This is not good for rest especially a week away from a marathon. I will pray and see what God wants me to do.
