Got 7 hours of sleep last night so that was better than the previous nights, and didn't feel as tired waking up.

Ran in a very hard rain in cold weather (30 degrees) in a stiff wind. By the time I was done my hands were cold, and I was completely soaked from head to toe. Even though it was raining I was patience in my pace. The only way I'm going to be become a better runner is to be patience and relaxed in some of my training runs. I ran 8.2 miles at a overall 7:25 pace in 1:01.

I've already drank a 20oz mug of coffee to try to warm-up. I wore my tights, gloves, knitted hat and it felt like winter again. Were suppose to have continuous rain for the whole rest of the week and weekend. Knee I still felt something there which I probably need to ice it. It's amazing how I didn't feel the knee in the marathon last Saturday, but feel it now on the last couple training runs. It's not bad it's just there.

I was out in the rain and chilly weather as well, but refused to but the tights on...it is the middle of May and I won't do it!

Hope the knee continues to improve.

I would have tried to wear shorts but with it being 30 degrees with a 20mph wind that would have probably not been a good idea.

The knee is okay, but I wish I didn't have any weird pain or funny feeling there. I'm going to see how it is close to the relay dates. I don't want to go in the relay this time not feeling my best... like I did in Arizona with the Achilles issue.

Your brave soul running in shorts.

That sounds like the weather I had yesterday. I even left in shorts and then went back for long pants when I found how bad the wind was. I don't mind the rain to bad it's the wind that makes it bad.

I know some people don’t use the discussion board of the blog so I’m posting this comment on everyone’s blog that has updated in the last few days or so to bring your attention to both the discussion section and the mileage board. Please read the discussion here (http://fastrunningblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,324.0.html) and then vote here (http://fastrunningblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,348.0.html) if you have an opinion.
