Easy run on the new snow cover from last night. I ran 9.02 miles at an overall 6:55 pace in 1:02. Uneventful run other than someone flipped me off, even though I wasn't even close to the road. I think he was jealous, because I could run and he probably can't (who knows why people have childish attitudes at times). Swearing or using your fingers for inappropriate behavior is something I don't tolerate and don't like and was not raised to be like that. Oh well, I'll I did was shake my head at the guy.

The run wasn't bad, but I was tired because I stayed up a little later working on my brother's computer. He was upset because it wouldn't turn on. The problem was the power supply died so I told him to go buy one, and I ended up putting it in his system for him and it started up fine. But he did tell me that his "cmos" battery was died, so he'll have to buy one of them today or the settings on reboot will be lost.

Up to this point, "before my brother's call", I was watching LSU beat Ohio State and that excited me.

Lunch:

Ran 5.6 miles on the Home Treadmill in exactly 38 minutes.   Did .4 at a 5:30 pace and the last .2 felt really hard.  The heat popped on down in the basement when I was running and this really made me hot and sweat like I was being dumped on by a gatorade water cooler.

It's seems lately that anything below a 6 minute mile pace I'm really struggling at not sure why, but it has me concerned.  I'm still trying to stick with a lot of aerobic miles though.

Nice run! I'm with you on the inappropriate behavior. Who knows why people do the ridiculous things they do. All you can do is shrug it off.

Thanks for the comment about the run.

Ya, I'm not sure why people have to be rude when your just out getting exercise.

For some reason it's bothered me all day why someone would be so rude for no reason.

My favorite is when people get mad at me for crossing the street at an intersection. When I was learning to drive, I was taught that pedestrians have the right of way. Did some rules change in the last (gulp) 12 years? I usually don't get people yelling or gesturing at me, though, that is reserved for Paul.

When is the Pocatello Marathon? I grew up in Idaho Falls. I'm just curious, that would be a good excuse to come up and see my parents. Where does the course take place? You have to give yourself credit for the fact that it is the winter time. THE roads are not the best conditions and I think the cold air slows you down. Just keep doing what you can and look forward to the springtime.

Stacy: I'm glad your free from people being rude to you. The rules I think haven't changed. The thing with the guys gesture is that I wasn't even close to the road so I don't know why he did it. Maybe he was having a bad morning.

Ali: Th Pocatello Marathon I think is September 8th. The course starts at Rapid Creek and runs down the back side right into Inkom, then on Highway 91. It then ends at Ross Park.

I know my speed is there when I start doing more speed work. I'm determined to be a 5:45 marathon pace runner. Thanks for your kind words. You should come up and run the Marathon You would love it.
