Pride necessarily sprouts and grows; a pride that can only come from relentless kneading of unwilling flesh, painful months of grinding and burning away all that is heavy, all that is strength-sapping and useless to the body as a projectile. --John L. Parker, Jr., runner/author

Very excited (and anxious) as I registered for Boston 2012 this morning.  Good luck to everyone out there sweating through the new, rolling registration process.  No qualifier is more or less deserving...we all put in the work.  I hate to think about folks out there (like my father, potentially) who have such a passion and love for the sport, and despite qualifying, may get left out of the race.

My old pal Wesley Hunt! I haven't dropped in on your blog in a while.

Looks like your training is going well.

I registered for Boston too. We definitely need to get together.

Thanks for checking in, Rob. Despite the lack of comments, I actually have been following your blog...great result last weekend by the way...I loved your pre-race nutrition/hydration plan. And it sounds like you have some pretty solid runners this year on your cross-country team at Alta. I know you'll keep pushing them, and they're fortunate to have a mentor like you.

As to Boston, I would love to get together.
