Personal:

Pride necessarily sprouts and grows; a pride that can only come from relentless kneading of unwilling flesh, painful months of grinding and burning away all that is heavy, all that is strength-sapping and useless to the body as a projectile. --John L. Parker, Jr., runner/author

Random strip of service road off highway near Entergy Service Center in Hot Springs.  Very busy, but productive, day at work and limited time after work because I met my parents at the aforementioned service center to help my parents unload some things that they brought back from Charlottesville.  They have been in VA the  last couple of weeks to help my brother (and) family get settled in for a life of academia (Luke starts PHD thid fall).  But I digress...

3 mile repeats at 5:41, 5:44, and 6,00; equal distance jog before each repeat; quick 800m repeat to close out 7 Total Miles.

Sounds like things are going well. What is your brother studying?

Philosophy...specifically, political and legal philosophy focusing on jurisprudence issues, social justice, etc.

Things going pretty well. And you? Back on the wagon?

Doing all right Wesley. Can't get my body to respond to workouts the way I want it to but I've managed a couple halfway decent races anyway. Just taking what each day will give me.

I'm reading Hampton Side's book "Hellhound on My Trail" about the MLK assassination. I met Hampton Sides a couple weeks ago in Santa Fe. He's a great writer and a pretty good popular historian.
