am--5 Starting off the week with a bang and finishing just as it began to rain, I ran a little out-and-back up Lava Flow. pm--8.5 The pace was pretty slow, but I hardly felt the miles. The past two days I've been steaming about the injustices of the world. |

am--5.5 I had a nice little moonlit run w/ some James on the headphones--Morrissey raves about them, you know. And, oh, it's not spring yet. Phil was right. pm--7 I went up around the heights with a little league hill and 4 fire station hills. I clocked those at about 150m. It's still chilly. |

| | pm--12 I ran up past the cemetery, up 400 E. in Ivins, to the Johnson's Arch trailhead, along the parkway, and back home. The fatigue sets in at the end of longer runs, but I feel so awesome afterwards. Miles are becoming an addiction. |

| | am--6 Had to get out this morning because I'm not sure if I'll have running time after school. There was a 30% chance of precipitation this morning. The last 2 miles of the run the meteorologists predictions came to fruition in the form of a light drizzle. I was pretty fatigued this morning, but The Killers pulled me through. I used to be exclusively a headphone runner, but now it's only in the mornings. |

| | pm--10 I got home from school and felt tired and a little weary to run. Then I looked at the running blog and just had to go. So, I strapped on the Landreth 5s and headed out for 10. I've felt better, but seldom do I regret running after I go. |

am--6 I just wanted to get out and run 6 to put me up to 60 again. As I started running, I felt good and was under 9:00/mile the whole time. Now I did an out-and-back. After 3 I decided to do some fartlek. I didn't consciously go for 400s or anything like that. I said to myself, "From here to the next junction. From the truck to the sign." Stuff like that. I bet they were all between 200s and 400s though. The first 2, being downhill, got me under 6:00/mile speed. The other 3 on flatter ground had me in the 6:30/mile range. I was pushing pretty hard but still felt loose. I don't know what any of this means except that, now, I know I can run that fast. For how long, who knows? I may run this evening to try and hit 65. Of course it will have to be with my Valentine. pm--5 A nice Valentine run with the wif(e). This is a new weekly high for mileage. Next week, I'll back off 5 or 10 miles. |
