am--28.5 Had the day off, so I decided to Please follow Fast Running Blog policy regarding vulgar language around in the hills. I parked at Jacob Hamblin and ran up to the Barrel Roll, hit it w/ the Sidewinder extension, then hit the Rim trails w/ 2 loops at the top. After that, I ran back to the car to restock the gels, refill the water, and use the facilities. Finally, I took off on the Anasazi Trail to the petroglyphs and back. I really wanted to see how the body felt w/ longer miles. It felt pretty good, and I wasn't totally death marching at the end. The key was a gel every 30-45 minutes and water. I had the ipod stocked w/ the hits, so the day ended up pretty great. BTW, this is all in preparation for a 50k in 2 weeks.

Twas DANG. I'm not sure how you did 50 miles in the mountains w/ all that elevation gain and loss.

50K is where? Holy crap, you are a sandbagger.

If I'm sandbagging it's because I learned it from the bball team.

Way to get out there and pound the long miles! I only did 21 but thought about getting back out and adding in the evening. Then my brain started to function and I came to my senses.

Great job!

Scott--You've been rocking the long miles for quite a while. It's good to see you rolling. I hope Boston treats you well.
