AM- 3 miles. Last morning run of the year.

PM- 6.5 miles. Got to Lehi and Matt and I put two laps in on the track to get a feel for it. I wasn't going to run the 1600 but Carson told me to and I saw that I was in the fastest heat seeded last so I figured what do I have to lose. I warmed up and drained my legs. Did some strides and was feeling super nervous going in as the 23 seed. Asa got put in because he was in the second fastest heat to then I was 23/24. I hit some pretty good splits, not sure on the times. I felt so disconnected from the race though so it was kind of weird. I ended with a 4:51 1600 PR finishing in 16th. Cooled down a mile with Asa, Parker and a bunch of other Lehi guys. Later warmed up a mile with our bomb 4x800 team Brian, Matt, Jared and I. We were feeling super nervous and weren't sure what to shoot for. Brian said let's go sub 9. Brian took first leg with a 2:13. He got us a very big lead. Matt ran a 2:17 keeping the lead but not by as much. Jared went 2:15 and only had about 10 meters. I got the baton in first with Parker on my tail. His PR is 2:03, mine 2:17, so I was scared. After about 200 he passed me. I kept us in second. I ran a 2:13 and our final time was a 8:58. I also scored enough points for my varsity letter. It's been a good season and I'm glad I've gotten to meet so many new and cool people. I'm excited to see what I can do next year in cross. Congrats to everyone who ran Region, JV Region, and good luck to those running at state!
