As the sun went down it was still 90 with a heat index of 116.  This didn't change much in the short time I ran.

It was much cooler today (80 or so) with low humidity.  The run today felt nice.  I have had (to use a euphemism) some pesky body cleansing since Saturday.  I don't know if it was something I ate or if it was just post-vacation illness, but it finally stopped today.

I always hesitate to get personal on the blog, but I've been feeling down lately.  I'm still trying to get pregnant, but it hasn't happened yet.  May was the first month we resumed our quest and I didn't do anything drastically different with running.  After going to the doctor, June was an experiment in running less in duration.  July was still low miles and slower speed.  Especially this month, that egg didn't stand a chance (gross, sorry), so now I'm assuming that I'm still not ovulating. I had no difficulties getting pregnant with Caleb or Eli.  I was running when they were conceived, but not as many miles per week and I think maybe 4-5 days.

This month I'll run less frequently and see, maybe 3-4 days.  I have been playing phone tag with my doctor the past few days.  Now I'm just worried that there is something wrong, I guess.

Ran an early morning 4 since the day will be busy.  Lots of cleaning because we will be having weekend guests.  My hubby turned 40 yesterday!

Here's an entertaining blog:

An easy 5 with my friend Colleen in the early morning.  She humored me by staying with me at about a 9:45 pace and then ran an additional 5 much, much faster.  I'm jealous...

Then we went to breakfast afterward.

Oh and I found out that pretty much everyone in her family had diarrhea after vacation too.  Her dad was really sick, I guess.  We all ate pizza together on Friday, so that solves the mystery.
