I ran at my sister's in Plainfield.  It was ridiculously foggy, but still warm enough for shorts (maybe 45 or so).  I ran around the bike path that runs through a few neighborhoods, have run around there quite a few times, but it was eerie not really knowing street names and worrying about getting turned around in the fog.  For instance, there's a water tower along this route, and I usually use it as a guide, but I couldn't see it unless I was within a tenth of a mile of it.

I kept the pace pretty easy, but did make an effort to push the pace in the last two miles. (9:04, 9:00, 8:50, 8:35, 8:48, 8:31, 8:14).  I guess looking at the splits for some reason mile 4 was also faster, but I don't have an explanation for why that would be.

Perhaps the fog was a porthole that placed you 200 yards further up on the path.
