Short-Term Running Goals:

2024 GOALS:

to not get fat

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 18, and 19.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

Towpath Marathon. Marathon #12. Unbelievable beautiful course. I tried to take as much of it in while I was out there. It was very hot and humid. 79 deg., 74% hum., 70 d.p. at finish. Pancake flat, just like home. Certainly above local averages for race day. I knew it wasn't going to be a great race for me, but I gave it my best shot. It was a great trip.

2nd in age group!! That is a win anytime! 1 more week and that race will be in the 40's. It was and is hot and humid, but some very great scenery. Come back, we have some great marathons here - run AF with me, I can put you up

Great job giving it your all. Hot and humid is not easy to run in, let alone race in. Heck my 10 miles this morning here in Florida was tough and I was running slow.

Way to getter done! Some days are better than others. Congrats on a 2nd place age division effort & win! Come on up to Utah next September and run the Huntsville “Full Monty “ Marathon with me, it’s a double “BQ” Mary for Boston 2020 & 2021. We’ve got you covered!

Congratulations, you did the best in these conditions!

Tom, good job. We train in those conditions all the time, but it never occurred to me that one could also race in them.
