I was WIDE awake at 3:00am this morning.  I'm not sure what my deal-o was, but I laid there till 4:45am and then headed to the gym.

7 miles

During the last .25 of every mile, I would pick up the pace a lot.  It definitely made the miles go my faster.  I felt good aerobically, but my lower shin was bugging a bit.  And I was very sore from all the lifting yesterday.  I love that feeling.

Quick stretch - couldn't find a foam roller.  Back to bed for a quick nap before all the kids got up.  I love my morning power naps.

a very good pick-up work-out! I hate seeing that your shin is still bugging :( I love morning power naps too!

NICE speedy 7 miler SO EARLY in the morning! You're amazing! :) I think my legs would still be in sleep mode! Haha! :)

Glad you got a quick nap before everyone's up!

Oh morning naps are the best! You are still just rolling along Toby! I love it!

But now, let's not let this shin irritation get out of hand. Use me as your example of what not to do :) haha

I love the sore muscle feeling from lifting weights. I'm feeling a bit of that today, too.

You were wide awake just as I was going to bed.

RAD/Smooth: I couldn't do my ultra early mornings without my naps!!!

Lily: I'm SO very sad about your injury. You are such a talented athlete and you don't deserve it. Steve Orrack in Orem in a PT and major runner. Dr. Brent Rich (BYU's sports physician) recommends him. He's awesome. His big thing is "step counting" - 180 to 190 steps per minute - shortening the stride. Maybe something to think about.

Dale: Thanks for stopping by! Lifting makes me so much more tired and sore than running does. I LOVE it. Who would have thought!

Hi TOby, good job today. I have those mornings too that I wake up too early with my mind rolling.

Play it safe, no more injuries lady!
