Today was really not a great run but I got it in and it was only a little slower than normal.  I'm not sure it was humid or something but I sweated like a maniac.  For some reason there was a bloom of little insects all around town and I was covered in gnats or something like that by the time it was over.  They were in my hair, my eyes, and all over my face..nice

We get those around here about once a year. It's nasty, especially when you start inhaling them.

Funny Tim, I noticed the same thing up here ... I almost cut my run short because of them ... but it was a short run anyway!

yeah It is funny that's never happened to me before - pretty irritating

Are you doing the ATC cross country 5k Saturday? Alex is going to do it with me, I am going to try to pace him to a 19:30, his pr is 19:55.

Yeah JG - that is in the plans. I've signed up and I'm raring to go. I'm trying to get the family to come along so that we can go to the mtns for some hiking or pumpkin farm tourist activities afterwards.

Don't forget to sign up - you have until midnight tonight.

Alex can definitely PR there. It is flat and fast. Lots of XC kids there last year.

See you then!

I signed us up last night. Sounds like a fun race, and it should be a perfect day for a trip to the mountains! See you Saturday.
