Ran for the first time with the local running group. I wanted to go out and do 6 at 8 min pace.  I made the mistake of going with the front group of super fat-less shirtless guys.  I'll never look like those guys, but in the past I would have kept up no problem.   I'm just not there again  - yet.  But it was a good test and I got in some good 3 miles with their group, at 6:45 ish pace.  I decided I didn't want to push things too much and took a detour home.  Ye ole Foot is a little angry with me, but it'll get over it.

5 @ 7:15 ave pace - got down to low 6's so that's cool.  I think I'll keep going to these Wednesday group runs when I can.

Nice faster miles Tim, hope the foot anger does not linger! Is that an ATC group run? I think I am heading back to Atl next week, back to the hills! I have really enjoyed running the flat path along the river up here! :)

Hey JG - it is the Oakhurst Running club that meets at a local running store down here in Decatur.

Yeah I bet you've enjoy some flat running. I always enjoy doing my miles when we go to the beach. Flat streets, no hills are a real treat.

Fun that you have found some people to run with. Once that foot is better you'll be leading the pack of the fast group... until then, run with the fatter people with shirst on. :)

Nice run. Be kind to your foot. A little angry is alright but you do not want it to get really mad at you.

Totally agree Andy -- I took a day off of it yesterday and did a bike ride. Things are feeling good. Trying to be smart...
