Sprint day at the gym (my favorite workout) :) Bike: 20K, 38:58 (Kilimanjaro/4-6) Run: 5K, 22:25 Swim: 750 m, 15:xx * First run in my Brooks. Have not formulated an opinion on them yet. Only 4 mm heel-to-toe drop (pretty significant difference) and a roomy toe box. Very comfortable arch support. I could tell that my calves were working more. Probably not a shoe for someone with achilles issues (I have never had them ... knock on wood). Should be interesting to see how my body responds to them as I gradually introduce them into more miles. ********* SO GET THIS: Today at the gym I was trying to hurry and jump into the pool to start my swim. I threw my little waterproof ipod onto the outer cement edge while I put on my cap and goggles. As I went to grab my ipod I noticed a HUGE STINKIN' BOOGER dangling from one of my earbuds. NASTY!!!!!! I seriously about hurled. Whomever picks their nose and leaves their boogers for others to discover has some seriously disgusting, nasty, incredibly icky issues and is in need of some serious treatment. Even after washing the earbud I was unable to force myself to stick it in my ear (and hence swam with one earbud dangling behind me). I am about to gag right now just thinking about it. ICKY ICKY ICKY!!!

1 mile by myself 15.6 miles, AP 8:34 with Matt (The Running Professor) and a little bit with Rob D. .5 miles by myself at the track at the rec center. I wanted to run 17 today but fell just a tad short by the time I had to leave to make it to Oliver's game in time. Luckily, when I got there I had a few minutes to hop on the track to get my mileage where I wanted it. My first 50 running mile week in about 6 months.
