11.5 miles around my old high school and stomping grounds AP 8:32.

Sad day. My good high school friend, Rick, collapsed yesterday after a short run (no explanation for why he collapsed, he was in very good health). He was without oxygen for 20 minutes before being life-flighted to IMC. He is presently in ICU, things do not look favorable. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

It just seems so crazy. I have been on the phone several times today with Rick's sister. This was totally unexpected. As expected, his family is really having a hard time.

Keep up some hope Teena. My wife has been an ICU nurse for 20 years and amazing things happen all the time. Rick is young, and if he's strong that counts for a lot.

wow, that is very sad. Running then collapsing. Those don't seem like they should go together. But it has happened many times and doesn't seem make sense. Prayers are with him/his family.

Ry is the tall one in the middle in the back of the second picture. We were always just best of friends (except for the couple of times he kissed me and told me not to tell anyone) until after our missions. :)

Ok, so these pictures inspired me to post a picture on my blog of myself from high school. However unlike Teena's pictures, mine is totally and completely humiliating. Perhaps you all can have a good belly laugh at my expense. :) Teena, perhaps this will help counter some of the sadness from the loss of your and Ryan's friend.
