10 miles -- Felt a little better than Saturday (other than this/these stinkin' cold/allergies  -- still don't know which it is)

20 minutes elliptical

******************************************************8

Oh yeah ... you all have to try this ... my kids, Ry and I LOVE IT!!!!!

4 Tablespoons brownie mix

2 Tablespoons water

- mix it in a cup that you can put in the microwave

- microwave for 1 minute

******* It makes the best little brownie ... so yummy and warm and gooey ... AND ... no oil, butter, eggs, etc. The only problem is that it is so easy that a 5 year old can do it so you have to be careful not to continually make them throughout the day like I did yesterday!!!! I have tried it with muffin mixes as well ... it works ... but the brownies are the BEST!!!!

10 miles today, good on you, what did you do saturday.....

From RAD on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 14:21:16 from 67.172.229.125

ugghhh....nasty cold/allergy crap! I'm feeling your pain. How do we make it go away?!? The best part of my exercise this morning was the 10-tissue clear out afterward :) (sorry -tmi) I could actually breathe for about 5 minutes!!

Nice work on those miles girl, I hope they're feeling good too!

From Teena Marie on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 14:29:18 from 174.52.45.85

Thanks Slick and Rachel!!!

Slick, I did 9 on Saturday

Rachel, makes sure and check out the little brownie recipe I just added to my blog. Seriously ... so yummy, so easy, and no oil/butter, etc.

From RAD on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 14:35:24 from 67.172.229.125

Oh Teena...I think you're playing with fire posting this where I can see it! I now will for SURE gain those additional 10 pounds in the next month before the baby :) mmmm....brownies!! I may have to go to the store now...

From Teena Marie on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 14:38:09 from 174.52.45.85

But Rachel ... these are better for you than regular brownies!!! I think the plain mix I have said only a half of gram of fat per serving for the mix, and a brownie is less than one serving. That is how I justify it!!! :)

From RAD on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 15:05:09 from 67.172.229.125

yeah...see I'm good at rationalizing, so I'd probably eat through 3 boxes thinking they were 'good' for me! I can't stop at just one :) (box that is)

From Kathie on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 15:08:18 from 63.248.105.188

Nice run Teena.

I am not even going to try the brownie recipe. I am sure it is good but I am going to try and eat only "good food" until after SGM.

From Kelli on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 15:15:24 from 71.219.93.114

Sounds nummy!!!! I need to buy some brownie mix, and then put some ice cream on it of course!

GREAT RUN, keep it up, find the right pace, take care of aches and pains before they take care of you, and ALL IS WELL!!!!

From Kelli on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 15:15:59 from 71.219.93.114

OH, and it allergies, it has to be! I have so much phlegm running down my throat it is awful!

From Andy on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 15:38:00 from 159.212.71.200

Nice run. Happy to see good mileage with no pain.

From Teena Marie on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 16:50:37 from 75.162.230.214

Kathie -- You are too hardcore! :)

Kelli -- I have been eating it with icecream as well. SO YUMMY!!!! And, I am sitting here at my asthma/allergy doctor's office. They won't give me my stinkin' shot because my asthma reading is crappy -- but of course it is silly people, i just ran and i have allergies!!! GIVE ME MY SHOT!!! So ... I have to wait for the doc to see me. Stink!

Andy -- No pain baby!!! :)

From seeaprilrun on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 17:58:25 from 68.103.243.136

Oh dear. I should've never read your blog today because now I am going to be standing by my microwave with brownie mix and a cup with a new excuse for every single one I eat.

From Teena Marie on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 19:06:55 from 174.52.45.85

April,

Could be worse things, right? I just tried it with a "healthy" muffin mix by Lehi Mills (at least they are supposed to be healthy) and it worked!!! It was good ... but the brownie is still the best!!! :)

From timp on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 10:09:22 from 144.189.100.25

nice job Teena -

I have a cookie mix I might have to test that with...

From Rhett on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 13:16:50 from 74.36.37.19

Yum, warm gooey brownies. Do they make you run faster or possibly promote healing in messed up legs?

From Tom Slick on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 13:54:44 from 168.179.157.104

Hey Teena, 19 days till UVM.

From KP on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 14:25:21 from 65.208.22.26

From Smooth on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 16:20:15 from 174.23.172.155

12 miles?!!! on a Mon!?!!! AWESOME!!!

Now, that's what I call yummy fast treats...Mmmmm...I could've eaten a dozen easily!!! Wish you lived next door! :) Love & miss ya!!!

From Doone on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 18:22:13 from 184.10.154.170

Is this promote fat-eating or fast running site? I will have to wait to eat those brownies or I will gain some poundage for sure. I could never eat just one!

Congrats on a good run. It sounds like your leg is feeling better.

Sorry about the allergies. Mine got so bad a couple of years ago that I started immuno-suppressant shots once a week. That has helped. Also, I take a claritin and zyrtec everyday. I also use nasonex everyday and I saline rinse my nose twice a day. It sounds like a lot but it works and I haven't had one problem the entire spring. If you are only going to do one of them I would do the saline rinse - cheap, easy and effective.

From Kimmy on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 23:07:18 from 75.169.130.229

Teena...nice run I hope everything is healing for you. Can't wait to see you again.

From DonGardinero on Wed, May 26, 2010 at 01:09:26 from 152.216.7.5

Hey Teena...I'm nervous about the elevation gain at PC, too. And yes, it looks like it's about a 900 foot elevation gain for the first 16 miles. I have a hard enough time running at this elevation!!!

I have run most of the course and along the Rail Trail, it's not too noticeable, but once you get into town, that's where it really starts getting pretty steep.

It's funny because from the highest point down to the finish, it's a 900 foot drop, but all the times I've run the course, it does NOT feel like it's downhill...At least, it doesn't feel that way to me. LOL

I stand corrected, it is a 1,024 foot elevation gain...I just noticed on the elevation chart

From Teena Marie on Wed, May 26, 2010 at 15:11:04 from 174.52.45.85

Tim -- Did you try the cookie mix? I'm thinking it won't work ... but ... can't wait to hear for sure! :)

Rhett -- Hmmm ... maybe. :)

Slick -- 17 now! :)

KP -- They are way yummy! :)

Smooth -- It was only 10! :) The other two were crosstraining miles.

Doone -- Fast running ... fat eating ... it's all relative, right? :) I get the shots too. Unfortunately I stopped taking them this last semester because my schedule was so stinkin' hectic that I could never fit it in. I am paying for it big time now. But I am back to getting them. :)

Kim -- We all need to get together soon!!!

Dale -- Well ... scared or not ... we are both running it ... so I guess I better just deal with it!! :)

From timp on Wed, May 26, 2010 at 15:36:45 from 71.16.116.2

Teena - I haven't tried it yet, but I think I;ll have to once I get the kids home from school. The teachers are having an end of school kickball game right now....
