** Funny story: This morning at the gym after I got done running (looking pretty stinky, sweaty and gross) this guy comes up to me and says: "I saw you going after it today on the treadmill. Have you always been a runner?" I respond, "I picked up running about 6 years or so ago." He then proceeds, "Did you run in High School?" I answer, "Nope." He goes on, "Well why are you running so hard?" I laugh and say, "I am trying to get ready for the Boston Marathon that is next month." His eyes look a bit puzzled and he questions, "Well, how long is that race?" I grin, "Oh about 26.2 miles." Then (this is the good part) in all seriousness he asks, "Do you think you will win?" AWESOME .... I needed that this morning!!!! I LOVE PEOPLE!!! :) :) :)

That is awesome! My parents asked me the same thing last year. Then they asked why I'm racing if I already know I won't win.

Teena, I think you have a great shot at winning!!! :)

Looks like your training is going great. Keep it up. Running right after you cycle is so smart to prepare for your tri. You're going to rock it.

Anyway, your am and pm workoutS have been SO AWESOME!!! :) :) :) :) I am not one bit surprised that that guy was in awe of your running. You totally fit in the elites corral! I second Rhett...with your 11611 bib...you are sure to win it! :) :) :)

Can't wait to see what your pm workout's gonna be!

SSF~

He was not in awe. Really, he did not know anything about running. He made me laugh. (There are not any real fast runners at my gym other than Fonz. So he had very little to compare it with. He just assumed I was booking it because I was so sweaty and stinky!!!!)

From Smooth on Tue, Mar 20, 2012 at 21:19:09 from 174.27.212.157

Woweeee! Very AWESOME pm workout!

I am 100% certain that I cannot do ecen ONE pull up!

And your pushups! Holy!!! I did 10 yesterday and collapsed in a pathetic heap of jello flabby mess! :)

Check out that 17" box jump! I can may be jump on a phone book! Haha!!!

No worries if you don't win the Boston, the Spartan Beast trophy has your name written all over it!

SSF~

The Spartan has me scared out of my mind!!! Really!!! And now it looks like Fonz will not be competing. :(

Steve~

The extra umph in my week has got to be a result of the Easter Peeps widely available at present!!! :) :) :) So ... speaking of Boston: What are your and Rob's goals there anyhow? I think we should have a one hour bet!! You beat me by more than one hour and I will send a great big pack of Peeps (bunnies OR chickadees)your direction. :)

From DaleG on Wed, Mar 21, 2012 at 23:11:10 from 152.216.7.5

Teena, I still want to do the Spartan, but it scares me, too....Also, the price is scary. Not sure I want to shell out $157

From Steve on Thu, Mar 22, 2012 at 06:12:31 from 66.87.112.232

Can't resist the Peeps idea! But an hour? I counter offer 20 minutes.

We are on a team hoping for the masters team title. All of us FRB, old guys. Rob, Walter, Jeff, me and maybe one more.

From Teena Marie on Thu, Mar 22, 2012 at 10:44:02 from 174.27.199.63

Steve~

20 minutes WHATEVER!!!! How about 57.5?

Master team title!!!!! Now that would be something to hang on the wall for sure!!!! :) :) :) Seriously, that is AWESOME!!!! Go get it!!!
