Woke up this morning to 12+ inches on the ground. I Felt like I was back in New Hampshire. It's been nice to see all the snow, however I'm happy to know that it probably won't stay for very long.

Ran with Clyde and Allen today and felt pretty good. I haven't ran a 15 miler for a while, probably since October.

Last Sat. I was sucking wind on our 11 mile run and today I felt much better even though it was longer. I'm probably getting a little stronger, plus I really think my old shoes were jacking up my legs more than I had originally thought. We kept a pretty steady pace most the way, and started picking it up with about 4 miles left. With about a mile to go my hamstrings started giving me a little trouble so I slowed down a bit till the end of the run.

Overall I was pretty happy with the run. When I came home I ate a little bit and drank some of my "MaGiC JuIcE".

Now this looks much better. However, you will get more benefits out of your 15 mile run when it is backed up by consistent days of no less than 8 throughout the week. Not sure about the physiology (maybe consistent daily mileage teaches your body how to recover, so when you go for 15 you recover faster?), but the common sense tells me it works this way.

Hey Steve,

Looks like you guys had a good workout. I also went 15 miles up in Provo. I felt good, however I had on way too many bulky clothes a sweatshirt and some cool sweatpants that were flapping in the wind the whole time. I need to get some of those sleak running pants like you have. I couldn't believe all the snow in Southern Utah, it was pretty bad traveling up to Cedar City on Friday, finally cleared around Beaver and the rest of the trip was good, it is snowing right now here in Craig, so it looks like I will get in some winter training this week. However, I am excited to do some of my old runs around here.
