Walgreens-Wabash loop in about 33:26 (7:26/mile). It was mostly cloudy and humid, but I felt pretty good.

It was an eventful run today. It was a beautiful day, and my legs felt fine. I was about a half mile from home when I ran past this house and out ran two dogs. Dogs don't really bother me, and I either outrun them or stop and wait for the owner to call them back. I didn't get the chance to do either this time. It all happened really fast, but a big black dog ran right up and took out my legs. I went flying literally head over heels and smashed my face and arms into the pavement. I have had dogs jump up on me and certainly chase me, but I have never had one run under my legs and knock me down. I have a big laceration over my eye that needed a couple stitches and road rash on my arms. I think my glasses smashed into my upper eye and cut it. I also have a couple nasty scrapes on my left hand. My right knee and ankle are a little sore where I think my other leg hit it. The owner of the dogs was really nice and got me some paper towels to clean the dripping blood off my face. He offered to have me come inside and get cleaned up more, but I was able to walk back home and get cleaned up instead. I will probably take a few days off to heal before going out for another run, which is a bummer since I was just starting to get in a good rythm and my legs were feeling good.
