73F, 85%, SSE 16-23 mph.  8:20 AP.  Another recovery run, trying to regenerate my legs for the next workout - 20 min threshold run tomorrow.  I think they will be ready, though I was still a little sluggish-feeling today.  Much improved from the last few days though.

I was looking back trying to see what trashed your legs. Was it the 17 miler? 20 min threshold tomorrow looks fun. I think I'm going to run 18-20 myself.

Hope your legs will feel better for the threshold run tomorrow. Sounds intense. Keep it up!

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 16:46:55 from 69.131.141.92

IJR - it was actually speed work way back on Friday. my legs get cranky for awhile when I make them go below 5k pace

Bec - I think I'm getting better at recognizing when to back off and when to bring the pain. I guess I'll find out for sure tomorrow...

Sluggish??? I resemble that remark! Way to keep moving Joe. You guys runnning in the heat amaze me!

From Andrea on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 18:53:12 from 67.177.11.154

That's quite a workout you have planned for tomorrow!

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 20:12:44 from 69.131.141.92

Rye - I epitomize "sluggish" 99% of the time.

Andrea - 20 minute tempo is the weeniest workout I could think of. 20-MILE tempo, now there's a workout; I'll need you to test that one out for me first though.

From Andrea on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 20:16:43 from 67.177.11.154

Well, I guess it depends what you consider threshold...if you're thinking half marathon pace, then that's hard! But marathon pace, a little more "weeny" :)

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 20:37:16 from 69.131.141.92

Andrea - True statement. I was thinking 1-hour pace, even faster than HM. Too much? Definitely "hard," but I also figured kinda "weeny."

(No snarky comments about that last sentence...I'm watching you IJR)

From Dan on Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 20:37:47 from 24.209.83.20

Joe doesn't even know how to do a "weeny" workout. I hear ya on the speedwork- The last one I attempted (and never posted) did me in so I am just logging miles and working the base for some time.
